First of all, a big thank-you to Dave Rushton who attended our July meeting and gave us an interesting insight into Healthwatch Stoke-On-Trent.
Healthwatch act as a link between the users and providers of healthcare. PALS (widely advertised in hospitals) are not independent, whereas Healthwatch are completely independent.
Healthwatch have the power to ‘enter and view’ facilities an make reports on what they find.
Healthwatch work with individuals, community groups and other organisations and provide useful feedback to the providers of healthcare whether or not the feedback is positive.
