Free Two Day Living Well Courses in July
These courses are available to anyone affected by cancer and run on two consecutive Tuesdays or Thursdays. Please get in touch and book by 26th June – you’ll need to complete and return a booking form. Phone 0303 3000 118 for more details. Note, the booking link on the flyer below doesn’t work.
I know, I know – it’s not even June yet!
A diary note for you – the date for the Christmas Party has been set as Wed 5th Dec 2018. This year will be a bit different as Headcases are taking over the catering. If any of you out there are budding Masterchefs with ideas for the buffet, please get in touch nearer the time.
As usual we’ll be holding a raffle as the main fundraiser so if you come across any likely items, please stash them away.
May’s Pop-Up Raffle and Crafts
Our May meeting saw some wine and a watch raffled, raising a total of £50.00 for funds. Rita also brought a great display of handmade jewellery. John and Lisa’s handmade cards were also on offer.
There’s a ‘bring and buy’ aspect to the monthly meetings which adds far more than just some cash to the coffers. If anyone wishes to join in and contribute items for the raffle, or craft items please feel free!

April Meeting
Firstly, welcome to our newest member, Les, who joined our meeting on 4th April having just completed his treatment.
CMC Motorcycles of Stoke kindly offered to hold a coin shaker and sell our wristbands. Danny Salt looked after it, and we emptied it recently adding £20.00 to funds.
We have purchased a quantity of pens to promote Headcases: they are available from any committee member priced at £1.50 each. They have the webpage address and a handy built-in torch. Green (pictured), Blue, Pink and Purple are available, and writing is black.
Lisa brought a fabulous range of handmade greetings cards to the meeting which were passed round and sold to our members and members of the Legion. Together with a pop-up raffle, we raised a further £79.00 for funds. All in all, a great evening!
