Well, we’re all keeping our fingers crossed that the Covid infection rate continues to drop and we can begin to consider normal activities restarting. I’m sure lots of weary home-schooling parents will be breathing a sigh of relief that their kids are heading back to school this week.
Fred and I have talked recently about the possibility of a meeting in June or July this year. Of the two dates, I’m fancying the July might be the safer bet. We’d previously thought February might be a possibility but the pandemic is very good at undoing any plans so please keep checking back here. I’ll be putting in monthly updates. In the meantime, try to stay active, and safe.
Our thoughts are with anyone who is currently undergoing head and neck treatment of any description. Stay strong, and hang in there!

Hi I had a brain tumour when 24 and they also removed my pituitary gland leaving me hormoneless and with Panhypopituitarism.
Can I join your group?
Hi Russell,
Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you are coping OK in your recovery. Our group doesn’t really have any formal membership, so the answer is Yes! of course you’re welcome to join us. We haven’t had any meetings for a long time, but are hoping for a July meeting, given that all the lockdown restrictions should have been lifted by then. The only thing we all have in common is some sort of connection to head and neck cancer. That could mean being a patient, past patient, friend or carer for a patient or a member of the fantastic head and neck team at Royal Stoke or Stafford hospitals.
Hope to see you at the next meeting. Keep an eye on the webpage for news on when that will be. In the meantime there are a lot of links to helpful sites on there.
Take care,
Paul Kelly
Secretary
Hello everyone. Wow, it’s been so long since we have all seen each other. John and I are keeping our fingers and everything crossed that the meetings will start up again in July. We hope that you are all well and safe. Take care and see you soon
